Councillor Ed Turner

City Councillor

Ed Turner, who lives by Donnington bridge, joined the council in 2002. He works for Birmingham University as a researcher. In his spare time, alongside his council duties, Ed is an enthusiastic local football referee, officiating on the Morrells' Sunday League, which includes teams like Rose Hill, and Iffley Harriers.

Ed is a school governor at Rose Hill school, and serves on a number of community bodies.

Ed says his proudest moment on the council was getting the two derelict houses on Nowell Road replaced. His next big aims are to improve provision for teenagers on the estate, and try to see some sort of improvement to health facilities.
